Maryam Nawaz Ration Card 2026: Rs 3,000/Month, PSER Registration & Apply

What is the CM E-Bike Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme is a Government of Punjab initiative, delivered through the Transport & Mass Transit Department in partnership with the Bank of Punjab (financing) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (computerized balloting). It helps eligible Punjab students get an electric motorcycle or scooty on an interest-free installment plan, rather than students paying market price upfront.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a review meeting on 2 September 2026 and announced a significantly larger and more generous phase: over 125,000 e-bikes, with students paying zero down payment and roughly Rs. 3,000 a month, while the province covers the interest and insurance. Applications opened online on 4 September 2026.

Earlier phases of this scheme (2025 and early 2026) required an upfront down payment, so if you saw older information describing a required down payment, that’s now outdated for the new application window students applying now should confirm current terms directly on the portal, since final published guidelines can add detail the initial announcement didn’t cover.

When atta, ghee and daal eat half your income, Rs 3,000 a month in food support is not small money. That’s what the Maryam Nawaz Ration Card offers deserving Punjab families. But here’s what most people don’t realize: there’s no separate “ration card form” — the real gate is the PSER survey. Understand that, and the rest is straightforward.

The one thing to understand: PSER comes first

The Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) is the master survey the government uses to decide who qualifies for the ration card and most other welfare schemes. If your family’s data isn’t in PSER, you effectively don’t exist in the system.

  1. Register at the official PSER portal: pser.punjab.gov.pk.
  2. Complete the household survey honestly — income, family size, assets.
  3. Once registered, your eligibility for the ration card (and other schemes) is assessed from this data.

Do PSER first even if you’re reading this for a different scheme — it’s becoming the single gateway for Punjab’s welfare programs.

What the Ration Card gives you

  • Rs 3,000 per month in food/rashan support for qualifying families.
  • Distributed through designated outlets/centers announced by the Food Department.

Who is eligible?

  • Deserving low-income Punjab families, assessed via PSER data.
  • Valid CNIC of the household head.
  • Priority to families already in the welfare net (widows, disabled persons, daily wagers).

How to check / register

  1. Complete PSER registration at pser.punjab.gov.pk.
  2. Watch for the ration-card eligibility SMS/call on your registered number.
  3. Collect from the designated distribution point with your original CNIC.

Note on 8070: the 8070 SMS shortcode is used across several Punjab schemes (Kisan Card, ration-related announcements). Follow only instructions that come from official numbers — and never share OTPs with callers claiming to be “from the ration program.”

Stay safe

Food schemes breed a specific scam: someone calls saying your ration card is “ready” and asks for “delivery charges” via Easypaisa/JazzCash. Real distribution never works like this. The card/support is free; collection is in person with your CNIC.
