Green Tractor Scheme Phase 5 (2026): Apply Online, Eligibility & Rs 10 Lakh Subsidy

What is the CM E-Bike Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme is a Government of Punjab initiative, delivered through the Transport & Mass Transit Department in partnership with the Bank of Punjab (financing) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (computerized balloting). It helps eligible Punjab students get an electric motorcycle or scooty on an interest-free installment plan, rather than students paying market price upfront.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a review meeting on 2 September 2026 and announced a significantly larger and more generous phase: over 125,000 e-bikes, with students paying zero down payment and roughly Rs. 3,000 a month, while the province covers the interest and insurance. Applications opened online on 4 September 2026.

Earlier phases of this scheme (2025 and early 2026) required an upfront down payment, so if you saw older information describing a required down payment, that’s now outdated for the new application window students applying now should confirm current terms directly on the portal, since final published guidelines can add detail the initial announcement didn’t cover.

If you’re a farmer still hiring a tractor every season, read this now — because Phase 5 of the Green Tractor Scheme is OPEN, and it won’t stay open forever. 9,500 tractors with a Rs 1 million subsidy each. Phase 4 was balloted on September 23, 2026 — Phase 5 is your window, and windows like this close fast.

What you get

  • Rs 1,000,000 subsidy on a new tractor — the government covers a huge chunk of the price.
  • 9,500 tractors allocated in Phase 5.
  • Selection through transparent e-balloting (not first-come-first-served, so don’t panic-apply at 2 AM — but don’t wait for the last day either).

Who is eligible?

  • Punjab farmer with agricultural land (land record verified — the acreage criteria are announced per phase on the official portal).
  • Valid CNIC, Punjab domicile.
  • Not already a beneficiary of a previous tractor scheme phase (one tractor per farmer is the general principle).

How to apply online

  1. Go to the official portal: agripunjab.gov.pk (Agriculture Department, Punjab) — find the Green Tractor Scheme section.
  2. Register with your CNIC and mobile number.
  3. Enter your land details exactly as per your fard/record — mismatches are the top reason applications get rejected.
  4. Submit before the announced closing date and save your application number.
  5. Balloting is held publicly; results appear on the portal.

Don’t repeat Phase 4’s mistakes

  • Land record errors killed thousands of Phase 4 applications. Get your fard checked before applying.
  • Fake “guaranteed selection” agents appear every phase, charging Rs 20,000–50,000. Balloting is computerized — no agent can influence it. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying.
  • Last-day portal rush: the site slows badly on closing day. Apply at least 3–4 days early.

Quick facts

  • Benefit: Rs 1 million tractor subsidy
  • Phase 5: 9,500 tractors — currently OPEN
