CM Punjab Internship Program 2026: Paid Internships, Eligibility & Apply Online

What is the CM E-Bike Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme is a Government of Punjab initiative, delivered through the Transport & Mass Transit Department in partnership with the Bank of Punjab (financing) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (computerized balloting). It helps eligible Punjab students get an electric motorcycle or scooty on an interest-free installment plan, rather than students paying market price upfront.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a review meeting on 2 September 2026 and announced a significantly larger and more generous phase: over 125,000 e-bikes, with students paying zero down payment and roughly Rs. 3,000 a month, while the province covers the interest and insurance. Applications opened online on 4 September 2026.

Earlier phases of this scheme (2025 and early 2026) required an upfront down payment, so if you saw older information describing a required down payment, that’s now outdated for the new application window students applying now should confirm current terms directly on the portal, since final published guidelines can add detail the initial announcement didn’t cover.

“Fresh graduates need experience, but nobody hires without experience” — the oldest trap in the job market. The CM Punjab Internship Program breaks it: paid internships for Punjab’s youth in government departments and partner organizations. Real work, real stipend, real experience on your CV. Here’s how to get in.

What you get

  • Monthly stipend during the internship (amount announced per cycle on the official portal).
  • Placement in government departments / partner organizations — actual work, not tea-fetching.
  • A government-recognized internship certificate — genuinely useful on a CV in Pakistan’s job market.

Also note: IT graduates have a separate, richer track — the CM IT Internship pays Rs 50,000/month for 5 months (cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk). If you’re in tech, apply there too.

Who is eligible?

  • Punjab domicile, typically aged 18–30 (confirm the current cycle’s age bracket on the portal).
  • Minimum intermediate/graduation (varies by placement — some slots need specific degrees).
  • Fresh graduates and final-year students are the core audience.

How to apply

  1. Go to the official portal: cmip.punjab.gov.pk. Only this site.
  2. Register with your CNIC and mobile number.
  3. Fill in your education details and preferred field/department.
  4. Upload: CNIC, degrees/transcripts, CV, and a recent photograph.
  5. Submit before the cycle’s closing date.

Make your application stand out

  • Write a real CV — one page, no “I am a hardworking candidate” fluff. List skills, projects, and anything you’ve actually built or done.
  • Pick departments that match your degree — a commerce graduate applying to the agriculture department looks random.
  • Apply in the first week of the cycle, not the last — early applications get proper review; last-day floods get skimmed.

Stay safe

Internship scams are common: “pay Rs 5,000 for placement confirmation.” Government internships never charge placement fees. Anyone asking for money is running a scam.
