CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme Phase 2: Balloting Results & What Happens Next

What is the CM E-Bike Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme is a Government of Punjab initiative, delivered through the Transport & Mass Transit Department in partnership with the Bank of Punjab (financing) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (computerized balloting). It helps eligible Punjab students get an electric motorcycle or scooty on an interest-free installment plan, rather than students paying market price upfront.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a review meeting on 2 September 2026 and announced a significantly larger and more generous phase: over 125,000 e-bikes, with students paying zero down payment and roughly Rs. 3,000 a month, while the province covers the interest and insurance. Applications opened online on 4 September 2026.

Earlier phases of this scheme (2025 and early 2026) required an upfront down payment, so if you saw older information describing a required down payment, that’s now outdated for the new application window students applying now should confirm current terms directly on the portal, since final published guidelines can add detail the initial announcement didn’t cover.

Independent guide — not a government website.
We explain the scheme in plain language; applications and results are handled only on the official portal, bikes.punjab.gov.pk. We never collect CNICs, payments, or application credentials. If anyone contacts you claiming to “confirm” your e-bike allotment for a fee, it’s a scam — report it.

If you applied for Phase 2 of the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme, yesterday was the big day — balloting was held on October 10, 2026. Applications had closed on October 4, and now the lucky ones are being picked through e-balloting. Here’s everything you need to know: how to check your result, what to do if your name came up, and what happens if it didn’t.

How to check your balloting result

  1. Go to the official portal: bikes.punjab.gov.pk (this is the only place results are published).
  2. Log in with the CNIC and password you used during registration.
  3. Look for the balloting result / allotment status on your dashboard.
  4. If selected, your allotment letter and next steps will appear there — download and save them.

A small request: the portal gets heavy traffic on result days. If it doesn’t load, wait an hour and try again instead of trusting random “result check” websites — most of them just want your CNIC number.

What was Phase 2 offering?

For anyone catching up: Phase 2 targeted students and youth of Punjab with up to 100,000 electric bikes, a Rs 90,000 government subsidy per bike, and 0% interest financing through the Bank of Punjab. The idea is simple — cut students’ travel costs and get petrol bikes off the road.

If your name came up — what next?

Congratulations. Don’t celebrate just yet — do the paperwork first:

  • Download your allotment letter from the portal and keep both a print and a photo of it.
  • Complete the financing formalities with the Bank of Punjab as instructed on the portal — the 0% markup paperwork has its own timeline, and missing it can cancel your allotment.
  • Watch for the delivery schedule — bikes are handed over in batches by district, not all at once.
  • Never pay anyone who contacts you “to speed up delivery.” The official process has no such step.

If your name didn’t come up

Don’t lose heart — and don’t fall for “second list” rumors on WhatsApp groups. Here’s the honest picture:

  • With 100,000 bikes and far more applicants, balloting is genuinely a lottery. Not being picked says nothing about your application being wrong.
  • Phase 3 is the real hope. The government has signaled the scheme continues in phases; keep your portal account active and your documents ready so you can apply the day Phase 3 opens.
  • Meanwhile, check whether you qualify for other Punjab schemes — our complete Punjab schemes list covers 30 of them, several aimed at students and youth.
