PSDF Free Training Punjab 2026: Hunarmand Naujawan Skills Program

What is the CM E-Bike Scheme?

The Chief Minister’s E-Bike Scheme is a Government of Punjab initiative, delivered through the Transport & Mass Transit Department in partnership with the Bank of Punjab (financing) and the Punjab Information Technology Board (computerized balloting). It helps eligible Punjab students get an electric motorcycle or scooty on an interest-free installment plan, rather than students paying market price upfront.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a review meeting on 2 September 2026 and announced a significantly larger and more generous phase: over 125,000 e-bikes, with students paying zero down payment and roughly Rs. 3,000 a month, while the province covers the interest and insurance. Applications opened online on 4 September 2026.

Earlier phases of this scheme (2025 and early 2026) required an upfront down payment, so if you saw older information describing a required down payment, that’s now outdated for the new application window students applying now should confirm current terms directly on the portal, since final published guidelines can add detail the initial announcement didn’t cover.

TEVTA isn’t the only free-skills game in Punjab. The Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF) runs the Hunarmand Naujawan program — free, market-driven skills training designed with actual employers. The difference? PSDF courses are built around what companies are hiring for right now, not a fixed syllabus from ten years ago.

What makes PSDF different

  • Demand-driven trades: courses are chosen based on employer demand surveys — you’re training for jobs that exist.
  • Free training with certification.
  • Many programs include on-the-job training components with partner employers.
  • Strong focus on women’s economic empowerment — dedicated courses and quotas.

Who can apply?

  • Punjab youth, typically 18–35 (check current criteria on the portal).
  • Minimum education varies by course — many accept matric and below.
  • Unemployed or underemployed youth are the priority audience.

How to apply

  1. Go to the official portal: psdf.org.pk. Only this site.
  2. Browse open training programs and find one matching your interest and location.
  3. Register with your CNIC and details.
  4. Some programs have screening — attend it seriously; seats are limited and competitive.

TEVTA vs PSDF — which one?

Honest answer: apply to both. They’re complementary, not competitors. TEVTA gives you deep trade skills at district institutes; PSDF gives you employer-linked, market-current training. A young person doing a TEVTA electrician course and a PSDF employability program is dramatically more hireable than someone doing neither. Don’t pick — stack.

Stay safe

Free training programs attract fee-charging “admission agents.” PSDF training is free. Anyone asking for admission money is lying to you.
